Fandangueros UO

We are a University of Oregon student group currently dedicated to performing mariachi music, which historically was featured at a community event known as a fandango. The group initially started by playing music from the contemporary fandangos from the Mexican state of Veracruz (known as son jarocho), but now has expanded to playing mariachi music. Mariachi was originally associated with fandangos from the state of Jalisco is now generally recognized as Mexico's national music. The group owns several stringed instruments for loan.
